Carolyn BillsCarolyn Ann Bills, 72, of Rouseville, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.

Born February 26, 1947 in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late David L. and Shirley L. Winters Bowser.

Carolyn was a Franklin High School graduate in the class of 1965.

She worked as an RSA and switchboard operator at Polk Center, from which she retired. She then went to work driving school bus for Baker’s Transportation and worked an additional five years for USIS.

Mrs. Bills was a member of the Living Word Church and greatly enjoyed the fellowship and involvement there.

She was a member of the Women’s Aglow, Christian women’s group, and played the piano and sang in her church as well as being invited to play at other churches.

On December 31, 1981, she was married to Thomas L. Bills who survives.

In addition to her husband, surviving are a daughter, Julie Neidich of Cranberry; five step-children, Todd Bills and his wife Carla of Michigan, Laurie Leal and her husband Leo of Illinois, Tim Bills of California, April Betarie and her husband Joe of Ohio, and Shawn Bills and his wife Angie of Michigan; four grandchildren, Nathaniel Baker, Nicholas Baker, Rachel Heath, and Joshua Heath; 11 step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren.

Also surviving are a brother, David M. Bowser and his wife Carol of Arizona; her twin brother, Charles A. Bowser and his wife Sonya of Seneca; a sister, Linda E. Harriger and her husband Richard of Polk; and two special friends, Vicki Fox and Lorraine Sparks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Heckathorn, and a grandson, Jacob Heath.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 5 pm at the Morrison Funeral Home where services will follow at 5 pm with the Rev. Travis Earp officiating.
