Jane Elizabeth Hanna Schubert

Jane SchubertJane Elizabeth Hanna Schubert, 73, of Oil City, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, May 12, 2019.

Born September 29, 1945 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mariam Mason Hanna.

She worked at the former Franklin Grandview Convalescent Home, Nazarene Day Care, and most recently the Salvation Army Thrift Store.

Jane enjoyed yard sales, BINGO, and a good book. She enjoyed children and would often have toys and stuffed animals with her to pass out just to see a child smile. All the kids knew her as “Grandma Jane”.

On May 19, 1990, she was married to Joseph F. Schubert who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Janice (Springer) Webb and her husband John of Oil City; two granddaughters, Rachel Webb and Cassidy Webb, both of Oil City; a step-son Kenneth Schubert and his wife Shannon; a step-daughter Jessica Schubert Lucas and her finance James; four step-grandchildren, William Hepp of KY, Dominic and Drake Schubert of Oil City, and Maddie of Chambersburg, PA.

Also surviving is a brother, Robert Hanna and his wife Lynette of TX.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings, Barbara Britt, Marion Six, George Hanna, Darwin Hanna, Beverly Tibbs, Chuck Hanna, Gary Hanna, and John Hanna.

Friends and family may call at Morrison Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6 pm to 7 pm, with a memorial service following beginning at 7 pm with Bill Hargenrader, her step-son, officiating.

Interment will be at Heckathorn Cemetery.
