Donald “DD” Donovan

Donald D. “DD” Donovan, 64, of Brimstone Rd., Centerville passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Marquette Hospice House in Meadville.

Donald was born on July 6, 1954, in Titusville to the late Joseph W. Donovan and Alma E. Crawford Donovan.

He was a graduate of Titusville High School.

Don was a truck driver for many years hauling logs, driving Semi’s across country and working locally for Hasbrouck’s Sand and Gravel, Fred Cleland Lumber and most recently Wilson Hardwoods.

He enjoyed fishing and watching dirt track races.

Don is survived by 7 children, Jason Donovan of Hydetown, Misty Anderson and husband Steve of Cortland, OH, Dawn Adams and husband Rodney of Seneca, Wendy Switzer of Seneca, Clint Donovan of Franklin, Lisa Hartzell and husband Michael of El Paso, TX, Kyle Donovan of Erie; 12 grandchildren, Jaylee Donovan, Jackson Donovan, Jasey Donovan, Tyler Richards, Chace Anderson, Abigail Adams, Elizabeth Adams, Guy Adams, Austin Switzer, Maddy Switzer, Darla Hartzell, Bella Hartzell; 2 brothers, William Donovan of Hydetown, David Donovan of Titusville; a sister, Donna Roessner and husband Timothy of Titusville; a sister-in-law, Peg Donovan of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Donovan; a grandson, Michael Hartzell, Jr.; a brother, Daniel Donovan who died in infancy; and 2 sister, Myrna Jane Burlingame and Garnet Upton.

Friends may pay their respects to the family at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with a memorial service to follow conducted by Rev. Karen Parsh.

Interment of ashes will be in Curry Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marquette Hospice House 13465 N Wayland Rd., Meadville, PA 16335.
