Screenshot_20190515-130809Jesse Richard Appleton, age 27, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on May 12, 2019 in Coatsville, PA.

He was born on November 8, 1991 to Jeffrey Appleton and Debra Lynn (Darr) Appleton in Brockport, NY. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Army where he served with the 101st Airborne Division before returning home from Afghanistan.

Jesse loved being outdoors and to go hunting. He loved to draw and started to do tattoo work for other people. Jesse’s dream was to buy property so he could build houses to help his other fellow veterans.

He was a handsome man with his pork chop sideburns, which is where he got his nickname “Chops”. Above all, Jesse loved his family, friends, and his military brothers.

Jesse is survived by his father; Jeffrey Appleton; his mother and step-father; Debra Lynn Appleton and David Schroeder; two brothers; Michael Darr, and Jeremy Appleton; three step siblings; David “Lil Dave” Schroeder, Natalya Zillinksy, and Cecilia Schroeder; one Aunt; Sandra Bochert; one uncle; Steve Appleton; his maternal grandfather; Delbert Darr; and his paternal grandfather; Dick Appleton.

Jesse is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Nina Darr; his paternal grandmother; Rosalie Appleton; and one uncle; Chris Appleton.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 4 – 6pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851.

Jesse will have full military honors performed by the Brookville American Legion on Saturday, May 18, 2019, immediately following the viewing, and beginning at 6:00pm. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made in Jesse’s name to the Stop Soldier Suicide organization.
