One Dead After Motorcycle, Truck Collide on Route 66

LEEPER, Pa. (EYT) — A 35-year-old man died Sunday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck on Route 66 in Farmington Township, Clarion County.

Marienville-based State Police Trooper Bloom said the accident happened around 3:35 p.m. on State Route 66 near its intersection with Tylersburg Road.

Trooper Bloom said 22-year-old Jordan T. Sleppy, of Tylersburg, was traveling north on State Route 66 and attempting to turn left onto Tylersburg Road when his 2014 Ford F-250 collided with a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja traveling south on State Route 66.

The operator of the motorcycle — 35-year-old John I. Ross of Brookville — was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sleppy was not injured in the collision.

Pennsylvania State Police CARS (Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialist) unit was called to the scene to conduct an accident reconstruction.

Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Company, Knox Ambulance, PennDOT, and Snyder’s Auto Body also assisted at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
