SHARProbertRobert E. Sharp, 77, a resident of 160 Hovis Lane, Franklin, died peacefully at 7:30 PM Monday, May 20, 2019 in Sugarcreek Station, following a period of declining health.

He was born May 2, 1942 in Clarion, a beloved son of the late Gomer and Betty Miller Sharp.

Mr. Sharp worked hard and drove truck all his life.

He enjoyed yard work and gardening around his home and tinkering in his garage. He enjoyed quality time with his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was married April 8, 1967 in the Lamey United Methodist Church to the former Linda J. Heath, who survives.

In addition to his beloved wife of 52 years, he is survived by his children: Brenda A. Sharp of Oil City; Robert E. Sharp, Jr. and wife, Tina of Franklin; Wendy J. Winger and husband, Gene of Oil City and Tracy L. Baker and husband, Jeremy of Polk; in addition to his grandchildren: Brittany, Tiffany, Stephanie, Carley, Kelsey, Kassidy, Korey, Keisha, Kendra, Kayla, Kara, Ryan, Shane, Zach and Justice; and great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kiley, Ava, Hayden, Amelia Rose (born just yesterday, May 21, 2019), Brantley, Amelia, Logan, Taylor, Silas and Ariana; as well as another great-grandson, Alex, Jr., expected in June.

Also surviving are two brothers: Larry Sharp of North Carolina and Thomas Sharp and wife, Gladys of Titusville; two sisters: Betty Poston and Donna Manchester, both of North Carolina; in addition to many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to is parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Sharp and by an infant brother.

Friends may call Friday 1-3 PM in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3 PM in the funeral home with Reverend Jack Winger, family friend and retired minister, officiating.

Private interment will follow in Lamey Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed to the funeral home to help defray his funeral expenses.
