FRYBURG, Pa. (EYT) – The Annual Fryburg Mayfest two-day celebration will kick off today
This year’s theme is “United We Stand.”
Many of last year’s favorite attractions will return along with a few big surprises for this year.
Here is a glimpse of what is in store over the two-day event:

Friday, May 24
The Fryburg Sportsman Club will hold a Fish Fry from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
At 4:30, there will be dinner at PJ’S Country Market.
A karaoke contest with Master Blaster starts at 5:00 p.m. and will run until about 7:00 p.m.
Corn Hole Contest
Friday will also include a Corn Hole Tournament at the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, which will be held in memory of Dick Kapp, with proceeds benefiting Alzheimer’s Association.
Registration begins at 6:30 p.m., and the event starts at 7:00 p.m.
This event is rain or shine, as it will be held inside.
The cost is $25.00 per team.
First, second, and third places will be awarded.

5k Fun Run/Walk
The 5k Fun Run/Walk will begin at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church in memory of Ariana Evans.
The race starts and ends in front of St. Michael’s Church.
Race day registration will be available.
Saturday, May 25
The fun will continue on Saturday, May 25, from 8:00 a.m. to dusk with a rummage sale, craft show, tractor show, car cruise, parade, games, food, and much more.
Free hayrides will be available throughout the day to transport visitors to all of the events.
Bruce Wilson Memorial Car Cruise 2019
Registration is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The registration fee is $3.00 per vehicle.
The show is over at 1:00 p.m.

This year’s Maybugs:

Watch for the Maybug kids in the parade!
It begins at 3:00 p.m. and will travel through Fryburg and Marble.

The 2019 celebrations will conclude with a fireworks display at dusk presented by Rizer.
Mayfest is sponsored by the Washington Township Community Association, which was formed to promote the heritage of Fryburg and Marble by bringing families and friends together in celebration.
