JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) — State police say two Jefferson County Amish girls who were reported missing yesterday were located.
Members of the Troop C Punxsutawney Patrol Unit investigated an incident in which two Amish girls ran away from a residence on Rock Dump Road, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County, on Sunday, May 26.
According to police, “the girls contacted the complainant and related via a voice recorded message they were staying with an English female and were safe.”
The girls related that “they wanted a break from the Amish community,” according to police.
On Monday, May 27, at 7:13 a.m., PSP Punxsutawney issued a press release stating the “two juveniles were located.”
