Widnoon Area Home Destroyed by Fire

MADISON TWP., ARMSTRONG CO., Pa. (EYT) — Multiple agencies from Clarion and Armstrong Counties were called to the scene of a residential fire early Monday morning in the Widnoon area.

According to a representative of Armstrong County Emergency Management, they received a 9-1-1 call around 5:45 a.m. for a residential fire at 871 Mahoning Road in Madison Township, Armstrong County.

Pine Township/Templeton Volunteer Fire Department, Rayburn Township Volunteer Fire Department, Distant Area Volunteer Fire Department from Armstrong County, and New Bethlehem Fire Company #1, Rimersburg Station 620 Fire and Rescue, Hawthorn Area Volunteer Fire Department, and East Brady Volunteer Fire Department from Clarion County were dispatched to the scene.

Clarion Hospital Ambulance was also dispatched.

No injuries were reported.

The scene was cleared at 8:16 a.m.

The home was a complete loss.

Officials say the cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
