MirandaMiranda C. Scott, 38, of Emlenton passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, May 23, 2019, at her home.

Miranda was born in Franklin on August 15, 1980. She was the daughter of Hugh Richard Scott, Jr. of Emlenton and the late M. Christine Kendrick.

She attended Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District and graduated in 1998 from Clarion High School. She graduated from Bradford Business School with a B.S. in graphic design. Miranda earned an online associate degree in criminal justice. She had been employed at The Plaza Restaurant and Dollar General in Emlenton and at Sheetz and also worked for several area care homes.

Miranda enjoyed spending time with her boys. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, especially dreamcatchers.

In addition to her father, she is survived by two sons; Corbin and Striker, at home; a sister, Marianne Reilley and her husband, James, of Pittsburgh; a special friend, Matt Hoover; a step-sister, Danielle Britt; a step-brother, Aaron Evers, as well as two nephews.

Her dad said, “She came to my help when I needed someone the most, helping me care for my mom.”

Miranda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Hugh and Jean Scott, and her maternal grandparents Bill and Jane Kendrick.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave, Emlenton from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday. A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert G. Hile, Jr., Church of God of Prophecy pastor, officiating. Interment will be beside her grandmother, Jean, at the Crawford Memorial Cemetery, Emlenton.
