SALEM TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say an Emlenton teen rolled his truck after losing control of it in Salem Township.

According to Clarion-based State Police, the accident happened around 8:48 p.m. on May 31, as a 16-year-old male, of Emlenton, was operating a 2001 Dodge RAM 2500, traveling east on Lakeview Drive just west of Community Road in Salem Township, Clarion County.

Police say the vehicle was in the right lane when the teen lost control and went off the right side of the roadway and hit a ditch. The vehicle struck the ditch with its front driver’s side fender, then rolled over into a wooden fence and came to a final rest on top of the broken fence on its driver’s side, facing westbound.

The teen was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

He was cited for a speed violation.

The vehicle sustained damage to its front fender and driver’s side. Due to its brake systems possibly failing, it was not safe to be driven and was towed from the scene by Minick’s Towing.
