Route 157 Reopens Following One Vehicle Crash; One Person Rushed to Hospital

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Route 157 near the intersection with Hill City Road reopened late last night after it was closed for several hours following a one-vehicle crash that injured one person.

Emergency crews responded to a one-vehicle crash on Wednesday around noon for a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of State Route 157 and Hill City Road.

According to a representative of Venango County 9-1-1, the call came in at 11:46 a.m.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department, Community Ambulance Service, and Franklin-based State Police were dispatched to the scene.

One person was transported from the scene by Community Ambulance Service.

Venango County 9-1-1 said the fire department cleared the scene around 2:00 p.m.; however, the roadway remained closed due to downed utility lines.

Franklin-based State Police told exploreClarion.com that the roadway reopened late last night.

No additional details are available at this time.

Police are expected to release additional information within the next 48 hours.
