CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Two individuals who were found with fentanyl and other drugs in their vehicle during a traffic stop in Callensburg Borough waived their preliminary hearings in court on Tuesday.

Court documents indicate 38-year-old Tina Marie Dunkle and 52-year-old Bobby Gene Dunkle, both of Parker, stood for hearings in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller on Tuesday, June 4 at 10:15 a.m.

The following charges against Tina Dunkle were waived for court:

– Marijuana-Small Amount Personal Use, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– Endangering Welfare of Children — Parent/Guardian/Other Commits Offense, Misdemeanor 1 (two counts)
– DUI: Controlled Substance-Schedule 2 or 3 — 1st Offense, Misdemeanor 1
– DUI: Controlled Substance-Impaired Ability — 1st Offense, Misdemeanor 1
– Obscured Plates — Prevent Reading at Reasonable Distance, Summary
– Failure To Keep Right, Summary

Bobby Dunkle waived the following charges for court:

– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
– Marijuana-Small Amount Personal Use, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

The charges have been transferred to Clarion County Court of Common Pleas.

Both individuals remain free on $5,000.00 unsecured bail each.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred around 5:06 p.m. on December 4 in Callensburg Borough, Clarion County.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, Trooper Allison was on patrol traveling east on Main Street near Field Alley in Callensburg Borough and witnessed a vehicle — a tan Dodge sedan — traveling north on Field Alley without headlights on.

After Trooper Allison passed Field Alley, the sedan turned onto Main Street and traveled slowly east on Main Street. It continued east behind Trooper Allison’s marked patrol vehicle with unlit headlights for several hundred feet.

Trooper Allison made three consecutive left turns: first onto Cherry Alley traveling north, again onto Clarion Street traveling west, and then onto Scott Street traveling south.

As Trooper Allison was on Scott Street approaching the intersection with Main Street, he witnessed the sedan turn right onto Scott Street traveling south on the wrong side of the roadway. The sedan then turned onto Jefferson Street traveling east.

Due to the driver of the sedan failing to turn on headlights for several hundred feet, operating the vehicle at very slow speeds, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, and a license plate that was so dirty that it was illegible at a reasonable distance, Trooper Allison initiated a traffic stop, according to the complaint.

Upon approaching the sedan, Trooper Allison recognized the driver as Tina Marie Dunkle from previous incidents. He also smelled the odor of marijuana, the complaint states.

Tina Dunkle had “a low raspy voice and had difficulty keeping her eyes open while also exhibiting exaggerated reflexes, anxiety, and restlessness. It was apparent that Tina Dunkle was manifestly under the influence of one or more controlled substances to include methamphetamine and a narcotic analgesic,” the complaint indicates.

The right front passenger was identified as Bobby Gene Dunkle. Bobby had a tan backpack between his legs on the right front passenger floor.

A probable cause search was conducted, and inside the brown backpack, a metal container with white residue, two plastic containers with small amounts of marijuana inside a glass smoking pipe, and three drug user kits were found.

An Ice Breakers container was located inside the front passenger door cargo pocket that contained 24 glassine packets of suspected fentanyl.

Tina Dunkle was taken into custody, and a drug evaluation was conducted. She was transported to the Clarion Hospital and consented to a blood draw. Lab results indicated that Tina Dunkle’s blood contained methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The complaint also states that Tina Dunkle endangered the welfare of a three-year-old male and a five-year-old male.
