Registered Sex Offender Sentenced Up to Four Years in State Prison for Non-Compliance

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – A Shippenville man who is listed on the PA State Megan’s Law website received a sentence on Wednesday of up to four years in state prison for failing to comply with registration of sex offenders.

President Judge James G. Arner sentenced 30-year-old Richard James Marzullo on Wednesday, June 5 to a minimum of 24 months to a maximum of 48 months in state prison on a third-degree felony count of Failure to Register with PA State Police.

Marzullo was given credit for 177 days time served.

Marzullo pleaded guilty on May 8, 2019.

He is currently lodged in the Clarion County Jail awaiting transfer to a state prison facility.

The offense date is reported as October 17, 2018. Charges were filed on December 7, 2018.

According to the PA State Police Megan’s Law Public Record, Marzullo was convicted on January 15, 2010, of Indecent Assault of a Minor.

His Megan’s Law Registration began on April 15, 2011.

Marzullo is required to register for 10 years.
