Clarion-sign-picCLARION, Pa. (EYT) – OhioHealth’s Delay the Disease, the #1 Parkinson’s Exercise Program in the country, is now being offered at Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Delay the Disease is designed to help people with Parkinson’s disease manage their symptoms through daily exercises.

The program can help participants:

  • Move about with ease and confidence in a crowd
  • Get out of bed or rise from a chair independently
  • Improve handwriting
  • Dress independently
  • Diminish worry that stiffness, slow steps, and other symptoms are obvious
  • Regain a sense of moving with normality

Classes are being held every Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The first session is free; each session thereafter is $10.00.
