Robert-ManrossMr. Robert L. Manross, 89, of Titusville, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Titusville Area Hospital.

He was born in Titusville on January 12, 1930 to the late Manley M. and Alberta Emerson Manross.

Robert graduated from the Titusville High School, class of 1948.

He served in the United States Air Force for over twenty years. He was honorably discharged on August 31, 1968 with the rank of Master Sargent.

Robert married Lois E. Magee on May 11, 1973 in Franklin. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2014. He was previously married to Jennie Poletti.

He worked for Lyle Peebles Motors, Serrins Auto Parts, and Dick Brown Ford.

Robert was a member of St. Titus Church.

He enjoyed golfing, hunting, reading, and crossword puzzles.

Robert was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 492, Bruce Shorts VFW Post 5958, B.P.O.E. Lodge 264, Sergeants Association TREA ( The Retired Enlisted Association), AFA 9 Air Force Association), and former member of the Titusville Shade Tree Commission.

He is survived by a son, Robert J. Manross of Pinellas Park, FL; two step daughters, Kathleen Eldred and husband Milton of Hydetown, and Susan Rauch and husband David of Titusville; two sisters, Bette Burrows and husband Roy, and Jean Morris and husband Robert both of Titusville; five grandchildren, Shawn P. Eldred, Paul M. Eldred, Michael J. Eldred and companion Stephanie Morrison, Raeann Rouch, and Jennifer Yoder and husband Aaron; eight great grandchildren, Taleigh B. Eldred, Braelyn M. Eldred, Peyton Eldred, Patrick Eldred, Sebastian M. Eldred, Haley Manross, Peyton Yoder, and Addyson Yoder; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Voisin, and two brothers, Manley Manross and William Manross.

Friends and family may call at the Hennes-Garrett Funeral Home, 203 East Main St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10 AM St. Titus Church, 513 W. Main St., Titusville, PA 16354, with Father Walter E. Packard officiating.

Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Mageetown in Centerville.
