Q&A With Noel Anthony

D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
Noel Anthony: I like playing basketball the most because it is like a big family and it’s really competitive.

D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
Noel Anthony: My favorite memory was qualifying in two state tournaments in my freshman year.

D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
Noel Anthony: I play high school sports because I like how competitive it gets. I like the way it feels when you score a point or hit the ball and then hear the fans cheer.

D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
Noel Anthony: My brothers have had a major influence on my athletic career because they have set such high standards and they have succeeded in all the sports they have played. It is hard to follow the footsteps of the Anthony twins because they have left such a big legacy, but it pushes me to work harder in my sports and to always give 110%.

D9Sports: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be and why?
Noel Anthony: I think it is wrong that private schools are in the same classification as public. I would like private schools to have their own class.

D9Sports: If you could be president for a day, what would be the one major thing you would do?
Noel Anthony: I would like to put prayer back into school so that the people that want to pray have the option to pray in school.

D9Sports: What is your ideal place to live? County, City, Suburb? Why?
Noel Anthony: My ideal place to live is the country because there is a lot of land and not a lot of noise. There is more wildlife and it is less polluted than the city.

D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
Noel Anthony: I practiced karate for two years and earned a green belt.

D9Sports: What is your strongest subject in school?
Noel Anthony: My strongest subject in school is math. It comes easy to me because I think of every math problem as a puzzle.

D9Sports: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be?
Noel Anthony: I would like to go back into time to see the day that we won World War II.

D9Sports: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
Noel Anthony: What do you like to do outside of sports? — I like to cook/bake and play the piano, guitar, ukulele, and clarinet.
