Clarion County Recipe of the Day: Mexican Brownies
This easy brownie recipe adds a unique twist with a bit of spiciness and heat!
Easy Mexican Brownies
1 package fudge brownie mix, 13×9-inch pan size
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ancho chili pepper (or substitute 1 teaspoon regular chili powder and 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper)
3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
2 large eggs
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup water
~Preheat oven to 350°.
~Stir brownie mix, spices, and chocolate chips.
~Whisk eggs, oil, and water until blended. Gradually add to brownie mix, mixing well. Spread into a greased 13×9-in. baking pan.
~Bake 20 to 25 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean – do not overbake). Cool completely in pan on a wire rack.
