JAPAN — A bunch of 24 Ruby Roman grapes, prized for their high sugar content, low acidity, and juiciness, set a new record when they sold for $11,000 recently.

Ruby Roman grapes have only been on the market since 2008, and only a select number of bunches are made available to keep demand and exclusivity high.
