Strattanville Man Nabbed on Meth Charges

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — CNET busted a Strattanville man on felony drug charges following multiple controlled purchases of methamphetamine.

Court documents indicate CNET filed criminal charges against 21-year-old Cody Alan Doshak, of Strattanville.

According to a criminal complaint, on March 21, CNET conducted a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from Cody Alan Doshak in exchange for $50.00 in U.S. currency utilizing a confidential informant (C.I.).

The complaint notes that CNET obtained photographs from the C.I.’s cell phone of Facebook messages between the C.I. and Doshak arranging the purchase. Officers observed as the exchange was made at a location in Strattanville.

According to a second complaint, on April 3, CNET conducted a controlled purchase of a quarter gram of methamphetamine from Doshak in exchange for $50.00 in U.S. currency utilizing a C.I. CNET again obtained photographs from the C.I.’s cell phone of Facebook messages between the C.I. and Doshak arranging the purchase. Officers observed as the exchange was made at a location in Clarion Township.

According to a third complaint, on April 23, another controlled purchase of methamphetamine from Doshak was made in exchange for $200.00 in U.S. currency through a C.I., again with photos taken of Facebook messages between Doshak and the C.I., and with CNET officers observing the exchange.

Doshak was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Duane L. Quinn at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15. He faces the following charges:

March 21 case:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

April 3 case:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

April 23 case:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

Unable to post $30,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, with Judge Quinn presiding.
