UPDATE: Two Flown from Scene of Route 417 Crash

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Two people were flown from the scene of a two-vehicle crash on State Route 417 Tuesday afternoon in Oakland Township, Venango County.

Venango County 9-1-1 reported that the crash happened around 4:00 p.m. near the roadway’s intersection with Camp Wilbea Lane.

The following fire departments were called to the scene: Oakland, Cooperstown, Rocky Grove, Reno, Cherrytree, Utica, and Rouseville.

Community Ambulance Service, PSP Franklin, and STAT MedEvac were also dispatched.

Two individuals were flown by STAT MedEvac to nearby hospitals. At least one individual was ejected. A third occupant was transported to UMPC Northwest for treatment.

Their names have not yet been released.

Route 417 was closed from Front Street to Route 8 in Cherrytree for several hours.

Details on the crash are expected to be released by Franklin-based State Police within the next 48 hours.
