Venango County Man Accused Performing Sexual Act in Video Chat with Child
According to court documents, the following criminal charges were filed against 19-year-old William Caleb Clayton, of Franklin, in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office on July 29:
– Indecent Assault Person Less than 13 Years of Age, Felony 3
– Child Pornography, Felony 3
– Unlawful Contact With Minor – Sexual Offenses, Felony 3
– Corruption Of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above, Felony 3
– Unlawful Contact With Minor – Obscene and Other Sexual Materials and Performances, Felony 3
– Disseminate Explicit Sex Material to Minor (two counts)
The charges stem from incidents that occurred at a residence on Second Avenue, in Franklin, Venango County, between the timeframe of January 1, 2019, and April 1, 2019.
According to two criminal complaints filed by Lieutenant Baker, of Sugarcreek Borough Police Department, he was investigating William Clayton for having unlawful contact with minors.
Lieutenant Baker stated that he has filed a criminal complaint on Clayton for similar charges.
During the interview of this minor, Lieutenant Baker learned that Clayton had become friends with the victim – a 12-year-old child.
During this timeframe, Clayton sent a full body nude photo of himself to the minor.
He also requested nude photos of the minor.
It was learned that Clayton forced the minor to inappropriately touch him, the complaint indicates.
During another encounter, Clayton inappropriately touched the victim, according to the complaint.
It was also discovered that Clayton video chatted with the victim in the nude and performed a sexual act on himself, the complaint states.
He was arraigned at 11:30 a.m. on July 29 in front of Judge Lowrey.
Unable to post $25,000.00 monetary bail for each case, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.
Preliminary hearings are scheduled for August 7 at 1:30 p.m. in Venango County Central Court with Judge Lowrey presiding.
