CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint within their coverage area.

The checkpoint will be held within the next four weeks.

It will focus on removing impaired drivers from the highway.

Driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol continues to be a problem on Pennsylvania roadways.

In addition to the fines and costs, your driver’s license could be suspended, and you could receive jail time for DUI offenses. If injuries result from a vehicle crash, while under the influence, then fines and penalties will be increased.

Motorists are reminded that enforcement continues throughout the year.
