Rhonda’s Grapevine: PA Winery Getaway: What You Should Pack
Here’s what you should pack if you’re going on a relaxing, PA winery getaway.
How to Pack for Your PA Winery Getaway
Odds are, you picked a winery as a weekend getaway because you wanted to relax.
PA winery getaways are tucked away into the quiet of the rural countryside. With many activities focusing on the outdoors, including:
– Horseback riding
Also, wineries often have events, including bottling tours and paint nights.
Packing comfortable clothes is ideal for all of these activities.
An Evening Outfit
On the other hand, if you want to go to a fancy dinner with your significant other be sure to pack an evening outfit.
Even if the weather says it’s going to be 80 degrees all weekend, pack yourself a jacket. It still gets cold at night. Without a jacket, sitting outside on the patio won’t be comfortable. And some of the best nights at a winery are spent outside with a glass of wine, live music, and a fireplace.
As mentioned previously, spending the weekend at a PA winery means you’ll be surrounded by beautiful countryside. You can hike on the winery itself, or at a nearby state forest.
Do you have a book you’ve been dying to read, but haven’t had the time? Bring it! You can relax by the fireplace with a glass of wine and finally have the time to finish it.
Depending on the atmosphere of the winery, they might also have books you can read while you’re there.
If you love card games, a winery also is also a great place to play. Whether you want to play privately in your room, your balcony, to public seating inside, or outside on the patio. It’s the perfect atmosphere to play privately or invite other guests to join!
You can really pack everything and anything you’d like for a winery weekend getaway as long as you know what activities you’ll be doing ahead of time. This way can pack appropriately.
And remember! The key to packing for winery weekend getaway is leaving enough room in your suitcase for a few bottles of wine on the way back.
