Elizabeth J. Slater
Born June 28, 1929, in Franklin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert & Bessie Beck Clyde.
Elizabeth was married on New Years’ Eve. 1949 to Howard E. Slater, who preceded her in death on March 26, 2019. This year they would have celebrated their 70th Anniversary.
Elizabeth was a very special woman and will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile. A homemaker, Elizabeth enjoyed caring for her family, was an excellent cook and enjoyed puzzles.
She and her late husband Howard were the proud parents of six children, Howard Slater & his wife Ginny of Novi, MI; Betty James & her husband John of Franklin; Patricia Bennett & her husband Tom of Cheyenne, WY; Karen Westfall & her husband Dan of Cheyenne, WY; and James Slater & his wife Jeannette of OK. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces, and nephews also survive. She is also survived by a brother William Clyde of Titusville
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Joseph Slater and by two brothers, Robert Clyde and Wayne Clyde.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Stouffer, Caring Place Chaplain Presiding.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
