Artists Invited to Enter Autumn Leaf Festival Art Show

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion County Arts Council is inviting all artists to submit their best work to the 61st Annual Autumn Leaf Festival Art Show.

Showcase your work in the 61st Annual Autumn Leaf Festival Art Show for a chance to win cash prizes.

This years judge and featured artist is Kyle Yates.

Rev. Kyle D. Yates is a Pastor and Photographer out of Brookville, PA. He has been in professional photography since 2011 and has been recognized over 260 times for his fine art. You can find his work at the Winkler Gallery in DuBois, PA, Fairlady & Company in Punxsutawney, PA, and the Sawmill Theater in Cook Forest. Kyle was named the 2018 Artisan of the Year from the Pennsylvania Wilds. He is on the board for the Winkler Gallery & Education Center. All mediums are accepted. Deadline for entries is Saturday, September 21.

Entry forms and additional information can be found on the Clarion County Arts Council Facebook page under files or at the following locations on Main Street Clarion: Michelle’s Cafe, Artfunkle, Clarion Free Library, and the Clarion Chamber of Business and Industry.

Eligibility and Guidelines: All artists must be 16 years of age or older. Entries must be original work and not previously exhibited in CCAC shows. 2-D works shall not exceed 4 ft. in any dimension and 3-D work is limited to 100lbs. Works must be framed and prepared for hanging or display. Hanging work must have screw eyes on the back of the frame. An entry label must be securely attached to the back of each entry. CCAC is not responsible for damage.

Category: Select Amateur or Professional on the application form. Judging will be done by category and medium (photography, 3-D, painting, drawing and mixed media).

All artwork must be hand-delivered to the Main Street Center on September 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Early Bird Entries: Application and entry fee must be received by September 16. Mail to ALF Art Show, P.O. Box 533, Clarion, PA 16214 or deliver to CCAC c/o Artfunkles, 623 Main Street Clarion, PA.

Early Bird Entry Fee: The fee is $15.00 for the first entry and $10.00 for the second entry. There is a limit of two entries. Make checks payable to Clarion County Arts Council.

Entries After September 16: Application, entry fees, and artwork will be accepted at the Main Street Center on Saturday, September 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The fee is $25.00 for the first entry and $15.00 for the second entry.

Sales: Select either NFS or Price on entry form. A 20% commission is deducted from the price for CCAC members/30% for non-members, so price accordingly. All purchases will be made through CCAC.

Insurance: CCAC cannot assume financial responsibility for the works in the exhibition. It is the artist’s responsibility to insure their work.

Prizes will be awarded at Opening Reception on Saturday, September 28, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
