Lyman “Jack” Cassedy, 93 of Trinity Living Center, formerly of Kennerdell passed away August 30, 2019.

Jack was born May 7, 1926 on the top Pine Hill Road, he was the son of the Thomas “Cooley” and Melda M. Rankin Cassedy.

Jack received his education Clintonville High School. He married Grace M. Lawrence on July 5, 1950 at the Big Bend Methodist Church, Grace passed away December 12, 2014.

Jack worked his whole life in the woods. He was self employed cutting timber and lumber jacking for 50 plus years. Jack enjoyed fishing and hunting and always had a joke to tell. Jack was a member of Rankin Chapel United Methodist Church.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his children Larry J. Cassedy and his wife Darlene of Kennerdell; Betty C. Lawson and her husband Martin of Kennerdell; Barbara J. Kellerman and husband Daryl of Kennerdell; Anna M. Bell of Clintonville; Russell L. Cassedy of Kennerdell; Sue E. Beskitt and husband Rod of Tarentum; James E. Cassedy of Kennerdell; Patti J. Clevenger of West Virginia. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by his parents and his son Richard W. Cassedy who passed away December 11, 2013, son in law Ron Bell who passed January 5, 2019, brother Delbert Rankin and his wife Mary, sisters Ruth Boyer and her husband Bill, Anna Hoffman and husband Norman. A great granddaughter Darla Jean Kellerman.

Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville PA on Monday, September 2, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home, on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 11:00 am with the Rev. Denise Mains officiating from Rankin Chapel United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be sent to Rankin Chapel Church in care of Rev. Denise Mains box 305 Clintonville PA 16372
