Barbara “Bobbie Jo” J. Latchaw

ThumbnailBarbara “Bobbie Jo” J. Latchaw, 78, of Franklin, passed away on September 1, 2019, at The Caring Place in Franklin.

Born September 21, 1940, in Franklin, Bobbie Jo was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Margaret O’Brien Snyder. She was married to Earl Eugene Latchaw who preceded her in death.

Prior to her retirement, Bobbie Jo worked as a Bookkeeper for J. C. Penneys and Latchaw Plumbing, and as a Secretary for Pepsi Cola Company. She was a member of the Fox Street Church of God, where she was church treasurer and a member of the EOB Team. She also enjoyed bowling and belonged to a Women’s League, and was involved in the Rocky Grove PTA and Venango County 4-H.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Edward Latchaw and his wife, Tammi, of Franklin, and her two daughters, Deborah Cummings of Meadville, and Kelley Bell and her husband, Douglas of Franklin. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Ryan Latchaw and his wife, Mandy, of Tumwater, Washington, Trevor Latchaw of Meadville, Tyler Jordan of Meadville, Chelsea Rudolph of Seneca, Dusty Bell of Franklin, Ashley Latchaw of Franklin, and Levi Bell of Franklin; and her seven great-grandchildren.

Bobbie Jo is additionally survived by her two brothers, David Snyder and his wife Donna, of Franklin, and William Snyder of Oil City; her sister, Sue Buchan, of Franklin; and her life-long friend, Sherrie Frankenberger, of Texas.

Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Wednesday, September 4, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services for Bobbie Jo will be held at the Fox Street Church of God on Thursday, September 5, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jayne French, Bobbie Jo’s sister-in-law, and Rev. Chad Troup, Pastor of Fox Street Church of God, co-officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
