Victor F. Salvo

Victor SVictor F. Salvo, 75, of Shippenville, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Clarion Hospital, after a brave battle fighting multiple illnesses.

He was born on October 21, 1943 in Rimersburg; son of the late Joe and Jenny Petrizulla Salvo.

Victor graduated from the Union High School in 1961. He was in the produce and trucking business for 55 years. Victor served in the US Army as a cook from 1964 to 1970. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion and the Knights of Columbus. Victor was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He is survived by his companion: Bonnie Huth of Shippenville; his children: Scott Salvo of Titusville and Ryan Salvo and his wife Julie of McKane; four grandchildren: Maria, Madison, Henry, and Charlie; his beloved daughter-in-law: Christine Hazlett Salvo of Oil City; two brothers: Chuck Salvo of Alabama and Carman Salvo and his wife Theresa of Shippenville; a brother-in-law: Neal Shivley of Butler; his three dogs: Sammy, Gracie, and Jojo, and numerous nieces and nephews. Victor was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter: Kelly Salvo Morey; his brothers: Joe, Pete, Dick, and Angelo; his sister: Josephine Mortimer, Lucy Shivley, and Grace Kukla; and his four dogs: Cubby, Lucy, Gustoff, and Gunther.

The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion is handling the arrangements.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion with the Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor presiding. Memorials or donations can be made to the Tri-County Animal Rescue Center, 9562 US-322, Shippenville, PA 16254.
