Kenny Pickett, under heat after the Panthers (1-1) loss to Virginia in the opener last week, had a strong game for the Panthers going 26 of 37 for 321 yards and a touchdown hooking up with Maurice Ffrench 10 times for 138 yards and the score, which came on a 74-yard pass on the first play of the second quarter giving Pitt a 10-0 lead.

The Panthers also got a 3-yard touchdown run from Vincent Davis later in the second quarter that built the lead to 17-3, and Alex Kessman added a pair of field goals (27 yards and 41 yards).

Ohio’s lone touchdown came on a 7-yard run by De’Montre Tuggle late in the third quarter that set the final score.
Pitt’s defense limited the Bobcats to 35 total yards rushing and 212 total yards, as the Panthers outgained Ohio, 481-212.
A.J. Davis led a balanced Pitt ground attack with 89 yards with Vincent Davis adding 50. AJ Davis carried the ball 13 times and Vincent Davis 12 times.
