Cross-State Biker Stops at Clarion University to Deliver Keynote
Baxter, keynote speaker for the college’s conference, “Compassionate Caring: An Interdisciplinary Approach to End of Life Care,” is riding his bicycle across Pennsylvania to raise awareness about end-of-life care. Since starting in the Lehigh Valley, he’s journeyed west, visiting dozens of hospitals, hospices and medical schools, where he has given talks on his experience providing end-of-life treatment.
Baxter is a national leader in hospice and palliative care and currently serves as hospice medical director in St. Luke’s Hospital and Health Network and as a board member of the Pennsylvania Hospice and Palliative Care Network. The conference runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday in Gemmell MPR; Dr. Baxter will speak from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
