Volleyball Recaps: Burns Has Monster Match as Clarion Tops Keystone; Union Gets Victory

Korrin Burns Clarion Bakaysa.jpg 2KNOX, Pa. (D9Sports) — Korrin Burns recorded a double-double with 18 kills and 10 digs to lead visiting Clarion to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-17) win over Keystone.

Kait Constantino chipped in 10 kills and three aces for the Lady Cats, with KK Girvan recording 10 digs and two aces. Brenna Campbell ran the offense with 25 set assists and added five digs.

For Keystone, Alyssa Dunlap had six kills and five digs with Emma Burrows adding nine digs and Jozee Weaver three blocks. McKenna Kaye ran the offense with nine set assists and added two aces.

UNION 3, NORTH CLARION 0

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. — Dominika Logue and Drew Davis combined for seven kills to lead Union to a 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-13) win at North Clarion.

Logue had four kills with Davis adding three kills and five aces. Morgan Cumberland added three aces for the Golden Damsels.

KARNS CITY 3, VENANGO CATHOLIC 0

OIL CITY, Pa. — Cassidy Nolan had 13 kills to pace a 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-13) Karns City road win over Venango Catholic.

Emily Huff added eight kills with Emma Clark chipping in five kills and Mackenzie Dunn and Peyton Turner three kills apiece.

A-C VALLEY 3, FOREST AREA 0

TIONESTA, Pa. — Mia Sherman had seven kills and six digs to help visiting A-C Valley to a 3-0 (25-4, 25-11, 25-12) win over Forest Area at West Forest.

Meah Ielase and Andrea Meals each had six kills with Meals adding seven digs and Ielase five digs.

Tarra Stefanacci chipped in five kills, eight set assists and five digs for the Lady Falcons with Emily Wetzel also recording eight set assists, three digs and a kill.

CRANBERRY 3, MONITEAU 0

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. — Ava Ferringer had 16 kills and 11 digs as Cranberry went on the road an snagged a 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-14) win over Moniteau.

Maria Anderson added nine kills for the Berries with Maddie Cornelius pacing the defense with 20 digs and Sara Allman adding 15 digs.

Emily Duncan ran Cranberry’s offense with 29 set assists.

For Moniteau, Ashlyn Pry had seven kills and three aces, while Logan Barnhart had 10 assists and an ace and Samantha Broerman one kill and one ace.
