Hearing Set for Today for Rimersburg Man Charged With Aggravated Assault by Vehicle

TOBY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Rimersburg man is facing a hearing today on felony aggravated assault by vehicle and other charges in relation to a crash that occurred in Toby Township earlier this year.

Court documents indicate 55-year-old John Glenn Seybert, of Rimersburg, is scheduled to stand for a hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, on the following charges:

– Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, Felony 3
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2 (two counts)
– Careless Driving, Summary
– Reckless Driving, Summary

The charges stem from a crash that occurred in Toby Township on February 17, 2019.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint filed by Officer Jones of PA State Police, around 6:00 p.m. on February 17, 2019, John Glenn Seybert was operating a red Pontiac Vibe transporting two known passengers, traveling down Cherry Run Road in Toby Township, Clarion County, when Seybert lost control of the vehicle and rolled it over onto its roof in a ditch.

The complaint notes that one of the passengers suffered a broken back and was ultimately transported to Allegheny General Hospital, while the other passenger suffered only minor injuries.

The charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller’s office on Friday, September 13.
