DES MOINES, Iowa — A team of drivers at Pole Position Raceway in Des Moines, Iowa, shattered a previous world record by driving a go-kart 546 miles in 24 hours.
The drivers, who switched off every 20 laps, began circling the track at 8 p.m. Sunday and finished at 8 p.m. Monday, traveling over 546 miles and decimating the previous record of 424 miles.
