IRWIN TWP., Pa. — Police are investigating a hit and run crash that occurred on Interstate 80 in Irwin Township early Thursday morning.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 4:48 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 57-year-old Anthony Morgan, of Garnett, S.C., was operating a 2020 Freightliner, parked on the right shoulder of Interstate 80 westbound at the 31.1 mile marker, just before the rest area.

Police say a truck of an unknown make and model was traveling west on I-80 and left the travel lanes and drove onto the right shoulder, then struck the rear bumper of Morgan’s parked truck. The unknown truck then flew the scene.

Morgan was sleeping in his cab and was not injured.

He was unable to get a description of the other vehicle.
