CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — Monday was a good day for selling doe tags in Clarion County and a sign at the Main Street Administrative Building let hunters know.

“I would guess Clarion County sold a little over 12,000 from the treasurer’s office,” Clarion County Treasurer Tom McConnell told exploreClarion.com.

“The 2Ds sold out yesterday morning, 2F sold out in August. We can sell them for any area in Pennsylvania, and we get applications. Anyone can send it to any treasurer’s office.  There were originally 63,000 available in Pennsylvania.  As of yesterday day morning, there were 450 left, and we were able to sell them over the counter.”
