Emergency 911 ScenePAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say two local residents were transported to Clarion Hospital following a crash that occurred near Clarion County Park on Monday.

According to Clarion-based State Police, around 9:01 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 23-year-old Cody L. McGinnis, of Lucinda, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Impala, traveling west on Doe Run Road just prior to the Clarion County Park.

Police say while negotiating a right turn, McGinnis lost control of his car and traveled into the path of an oncoming Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 30-year-old Ryan M. Bish, of Knox. The Impala struck the Silverado.

Shippenville-Elk Township Volunteer Ambulance Service transported McGinnis and Bish to Clarion Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

McGinnis was cited for a licensure violation.
