Police Release Details of Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Route 338

RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on State Route 338 in Richland Township on October 20.

According to Clarion-based State Police, around 2:01 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 44-year-old Thomas G. Zenewicz, of Gibsonia, was traveling east on State Route 338, 1/2 mile south of Turkey Hill Road, in Richland Township, Clarion County. Zenewicz was approaching a left-hand curve prior to this collision.

Police say Zenewicz attempted to brake before the curve, then his 2019 Harley-Davison Tru Glide impacted the guide rail along the right side of the roadway.

After the initial impact, Zenewicz was ejected from the motorcycle and went airborne north over the guide rail for approximately 35 feet to a final rest.

Also, after the initial impact, the motorcycle overturned and slid approximately 123 feet along the left side of the guide rail where it came to its final resting position.

Police say Zenewicz suffered fatal injuries.
