CALLENSBURG BOROUOGH, Pa. (EYT) — A local woman is facing felony drug charges after allegedly selling “Molly” to a confidential informant.

Court documents indicate the Punxsutawney-based State Police filed the following criminal charges against 21-year-old Amanda Lee Snyder, of East Brady:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor

The charges stem from a controlled purchase of “Molly” (MDMA) in late September.

According to a criminal complaint filed on October 14, an officer of Punxsutawney-based State Police was contacted on September 26 by a confidential informant (C.I.) who advised that he/she could assist in the purchase of a controlled substance, namely “Molly” (MDMA) from Amanda Lee Snyder.

Screenshots of text messages between the C.I. and Snyder were forwarded to the officer and a purchase was arranged.

According to the complaint, the C.I. met Snyder at a location in Callensburg and exchanged $50.00 cash for a small corner of a plastic bag containing a white “rock” that later tested positive for MDMA.

The complaint notes that the arresting officer observed the exchange from a distance and was able to positively identify Snyder due to prior dealings with her, as well as by her PennDOT photograph.

Snyder was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller at 10:26 a.m. on October 16.

Unable to post $20,000.00 monetary bail, she was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

She was released on October 18 on a surety posted by a professional bondsman.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, with Judge Miller presiding.

Snyder also faces a hearing on December 10, on additional charges in relation to a major drug sting in Clarion County earlier this month.
