UPDATE: Kittanning Pike Near Parker Reopened Following Tractor Trailer Crash

BUTLER CO., Pa. (EYT) — State Route 268/Kittanning Pike near Parker has been reopened following a closure due to a tractor trailer crash that occurred this morning.

According to a representative of Butler County 9-1-1, State Route 268/Kittanning Pike was closed from Parker to Bruin Lanes in the Bear Creek Hill area due to a tractor trailer crash.

They received a call reporting the crash shortly after 10:00 a.m. and Butler-based State Police were dispatched to the scene.

A short time later, fire companies from Bruin, Petrolia, and Parker were dispatched for traffic control, and a hazardous materials team was called in due to diesel fuel leaking from the truck.

Crews cleared the scene around 2:45 p.m.

According to PennDOT, the has been reopened.

No additional details are available at this time.

Police are expected to release information on the accident within the next 48 hours.
