Theft by Deception in Porter Township
On Monday, November 4, a case of fraud was reported to the Clarion-based State Police.
Police say the fraud took place over a six-month period when a known 86-year-old New Bethlehem man fell prey to multiple phone scams.
DUI Detail in Boggs Township, Clearfield County
Around 1:29 a.m. on Sunday, November 3, a trooper from the Clarion-based State Police was assigned to a DUI detail in Boggs Township, Clearfield County, when he observed a vehicle violating several Pennsylvania vehicle codes and conducted a traffic stop on at 1997 GM vehicle on Hilltop Road/Red Jacket Road.
During the stop, the trooper found the driver, a 51-year-old Wallaceton man, to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was the arrested for DUI and later placed in the Clearfield County jail on a probation detainer.
DUI Detail in Rush Township, Centre County
Around 12:14 a.m. a.m. on Sunday, November 3, a trooper from the Clarion-based State Police who was assigned to a DUI detail in Rush Township, Centre County, initiated a traffic stop on a 2019 Ford Expedition on Phoenix Road/Dale Road.
As a result of the traffic stop, the driver, a 30-year-old Philipsburg man, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.
