Police Release Details on Crash on Route 322

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a driver lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree along U.S. 322 in Paint Township.

According to police, around 10:18 p.m. on October 4, 23-year-old Jonathan D. Wolbert, of Lucinda, was operating a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, traveling west on U.S. 322, just north of Kiser Wagner Road, in Paint Township, Clarion County.

Police say Wolbert’s vehicle struck a guide rail prior to the crash, which caused damage to the right rear area of the vehicle. Then, as the vehicle was negotiating a curve in the roadway, Wolbert lost control and exited the right side of the road. The vehicle then struck a tree approximately 20 feet of the right side of the roadway, where it came to a final rest.

Wolbert was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was cited for a lane violation.
