State Police Respond to Rollover Crash in Paint Township

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a vehicle struck an embankment and overturned onto its side in Paint Township.

According to Clarion-based State Police, around 5:45 p.m. on November 6, 43-year-old Lea A. Schmader, of Clarion, was operating a 2010 Kia Forte, traveling south on Paint Mills Road just south of 4 Wheeler Drive in Paint Township, Clarion County.

Police say Schmader was traveling approximately 45 miles per hour when her vehicle exited the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment. Following the initial impact, the vehicle then overturned onto its left side and slid approximately 30 feet and struck the embankment again before coming to a final rest on all four wheels partially on the embankment the left side of the roadway.

Schmader was using a seat belt and suffered suspected minor injury, but she was not transported.

She was charged with a traffic violation.
