JENKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a pickup was struck by a plow truck in Marienville on Tuesday.

Around 6:46 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 68-year-old Gary T. Pierotti, of Kane, was operating a 2018 Ford F150 pickup, and 24-year-old Austin D. Smith, of Vowinckel, was operating a 2019 International plow truck, both traveling south on State Route 66 in Marienville, Jenks Township, Forest County.

Police say the operator of the plow truck signaled to make a right turn onto Hemlock Street and swung his vehicle wide to the left to make the turn, and the driver of the Ford F150 continued traveling south and attempted to pass the plow truck on the right. As the plow truck made the turn, the side wing of his plow truck struck the Ford F150.

Pierotti and Smith were both wearing seat belts and were not injured.
