Emlenton Man Transported to UPMC Northwest Following Crash in Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton man was injured in a crash that occurred on Friday evening in Cranberry Township.

According to police, around 5:46 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 18-year-old Jillian M. Plummer, of Seneca, was operating a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, turning right from Johnstone Road onto State Route 257 in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police say Plummer failed to yield to a 2014 Toyota Corolla, operated by 56-year-old Melvin G. Schiberl, of Emlenton, that was traveling north on State Route 257. Plummer’s vehicle struck Schiberl’s vehicle on the driver’s side front end and door.

Plummer and Schiberl were both wearing seat belts.

Plummer was not injured.

Schiberl suffered possible injuries and was transported to UPMC Northwest by Cornplanter Volunteer Fire Department.

Both vehicles were disabled as a result of the crash.

Plummer was charged with a traffic violation.
