5dded290db4b5Jan Marie Knorr, age 67, of Cranberry, passed away Tuesday evening, November 26, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, Butler County, following a lengthy illness.

Born January 9, 1952 in Oklahoma, she was a daughter of the late Julian James Altrogge and Jonalee Weaver Altrogge.

She was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earning a BS Degree in Consumer Science. She continued her education earning an associate degree in Nursing from Venango College of Clarion University.

Jan was a nurse for the Clarion Psychiatric Center and worked at Green Chiropractic and Deer Creek Winery.

She married William Barnett Knorr on September 18, 1976 and he survives.

Jan was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church at Fern, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and served as board secretary.

She was the resident artist at Deer Creek Winery, was a talented seamstress and enjoyed cooking and baking.

Survivors include her husband, Barney; one son, Zak Knorr and Erin Whitmer of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Kelly Brugler and her husband, Eric, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and one granddaughter, Natalie Knorr of Orlando, Florida.

Jan is also survived by her brother and sister, Mark Altrogge (Kristie) of Indiana and Julie Hofstrom (Mike) of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Altrogge.

A celebration of Jan’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church at Fern, 699 Golf Course Road, Knox. Reverend Shawn Morgan, pastor of the church, will officiate over the service.
