Teen Faces Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A teen is facing multiple drug charges resulting from a traffic stop on Allegheny Blvd. in Brookville.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, November 29, Officers Miller and Gray, of the Brookville Police Department, conducted a traffic stop on a Hyundai sedan with illegal window tint.

While speaking with the driver, an 18-year-old Summerville female, the windows were tested and were found to transmit 4% of light, and the legal limit is 70%.

In addition, Officer Miller detected a moderate odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The teen first advised that a friend of hers was in the car earlier, and he had medical marijuana with him.

Officers searched the vehicle and found eight individually packaged bags containing marijuana, an amphetamine pill, and several items used to inhale, prepare, contain, or store marijuana.

The teen was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
