State Police Respond to Hit-and-Run Crash on Route 208
Police say the accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, November 29, as a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado was traveling southbound on Route 208 in Elk Township, Clarion County, when a deer entered the roadway.
According to police, the Chevrolet swerved to miss the deer and entered a ditch. The vehicle then proceeded southbound in the ditch, struck a mailbox, and then came to a final rest in the ditch on its side. This caused disabling damage to the vehicle by bending the drive train.
The driver of the vehicle was 37-year-old Kristofer L. Bloom, of Seneca.
Police say Kristofer was charged with the following offenses: failure to leave legally required insurance and contact information with the property owner and failure to notify police of the crash as required by law.
No injuries were reported.
