NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (EYT) — With Christmas fast approaching, there is only one thing on the McCauley family’s wishlist.
Alexa McCauley, daughter of Brady and Kendra McCauley, of New Bethlehem, Pa., was born on August 19, 2016, along with her twin sister Ava. A few months later, Alexa was diagnosed with Left Ventricle Non-Compaction Cardiomyopathy (LVNC).
The family quickly learned that Alexa would someday need a heart transplant but they didn’t know it would come this soon.
