State Police Calls: Shoplifting, Theft of Services, Warrant Arrest

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Shoplifting

Police responded to a report of retail theft at the Clarion Walmart on Perkins Road, in Monroe Township, on November 23, at 9:57 p.m.

Police say a suspect has been identified.

The following items were stolen:

– Miscellaneous merchandise valued at $1927.31
– A Spiderwrap security device valued at $121.25

The incident is currently under investigation.

Theft of Services in Knox Township

It was reported that on October 13, around 10:00 p.m., an unknown suspect was placing garbage in the victim’s trash can located on Pine Lane, in Knox Township, to obtain free garbage service.

The victim is a 54-year-old Lucinda woman.

Warrant Arrest in Redbank Township

Police say a traffic stop was initiated on December 8, at 8:32 p.m., on State Route 28, in Redbank Township.

Police say Steven Ty Burford, of New Bethlehem, was taken into custody during the traffic stop.

Burford was remanded to the Clarion County Jail.
